74 Property Services was set up by experienced property agents and husband and wife team Claire and Gwil Owen to offer a wide range of services to both tenants and landlords in South East Northumberland.

The company offers a broad portfolio of properties across the area, and works hand-in-hand with a large number of landlords.

She said: “We work closely with our customers to deliver to their exact requirements within an agreed time scale – whether it’s enabling a tenant to find the right home, or supporting a landlord to find and let the perfect property.

“Many landlords find it tough to keep on top of repairs, so I’m proud of the managed service we provide. Gwil heads up this side of the business, and we use a team of accredited tradespeople who can sort out maintenance issues as soon as they arise.

“We’re landlords ourselves, and recognised that the letting and maintenance services would work brilliantly together.

“Tenants tell us that one of their main reasons for leaving a property is inefficient workmanship and slow repairs. So by maintaining properties well, we keep voids to a minimum and protect our landlords’ investments.”

74 Property Services operates to the highest professional standards, and is a member of the National Landlords Association.

The company is also a member of the Credit Union Rent Scheme, which supports DSS tenants and landlords and enables even more people to be paired up with their perfect homes.

Claire said: “We’re local people, which means we know about the area and can advise on transport links, schools and amenities. “But our service is also internet-based, so we are available more than nine to five. It also means we keep our overheads low, and pass these savings on to our clients.”
